5001 Nights at the Movies. The complete collection (totalling about 2800 movies, not 5001) of Kael's abbreviated reviews, written for the "Goings On About Town" section of The New Yorker.
For Keeps. This (greatest hits) collection of full-length Kael reviews and essays (including a 100 page excerpt from Kael's The Citizen Kane Book), includes about one fifth of Kael's published work. It features full-length reviews of Citizens Band, Melvin and Howard, Stop Making Sense, and an excerpt from Kael's review of Something Wild. With most of Kael's books only available in libraries and used book stores, this is the best collection of her writing, in print.
Conversations With Pauline Kael. An excellent collection of Kael interviews, conducted from 1966 to 1994. Most of the quotes in the Kael on Demme: Quotations section were drawn from this collection, as was the article "Kael & Demme: Meeting of Two American Film Heavies."
Afterglow: a Last Conversation with Pauline Kael. The most recent Kael book, this is a series of interviews conducted shortly before Kael's death, in 2001.
