I've added four Roger Corman articles/interviews to the Links section, including articles/interviews from Bright Lights Film Journal, The Onion, salon.com, and Images.

Roger Corman and a really big camera

I've also added links to Corman's selections for Sight and Sound's 2002 director's poll and to the official site for Corman's current company, New Concorde.

For those who haven't noticed, the Adaptation DVD came out on Tuesday. Other than the film's trailer, the DVD doesn't include any features. However, if you click up then press enter, on the main menu, you'll get a phone number that you can call, in order to give feedback.

Adaptation DVD

I've updated the Films section, with the addition of some new titles. The Demme on DVD section has been updated with these new titles, including True Love, Amos & Andrew, and Novocaine.

Since there isn't much Jonathan Demme news to report, I thought I'd recommend the new Winter Kills DVD.

Winter Kills DVD

Winter Kills is another political conspiracy novel by Richard Condon, author of The Manchurian Candidate. In 1979, it was made into a crazy, unfairly ignored movie. Anchor Bay's new 2 disc DVD includes a documentary, a commentary, and a new transfer. If you're looking for DVDs, check it out.

In TV news, The Hot Box will air twice on Canada's The Drive-In Channel, this weekend. Demme produced and co-wrote the film (with director, Joe Viola) for Roger Corman's New World Pictures, in 1972. It plays on Saturday at 9:00 PM and Sunday at 4:30 AM.

Next update: as promised earlier, some impressions of Jonathan Demme, from a long-time friend.
